Member Service Representative

Purpose:
To actively build relationships by servicing and selling the credit unions financial services in person and over the phone. To provide professional personalized financial assistance to new and existing members that meets their current and future financial needs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide quality member service in an effort to acquire or retain relationships, and increase utilization of credit union products and services.
• Cross-sell credit union products and services based on member needs in support of organizational goals and initiatives.
• Open new member accounts and service member accounts daily.
• Initiate and process requests for consumer loan products.
• Conduct follow up to build member relationships and ensure understanding and usage of credit union products and services.

Qualifications:

• Experience – one to three years of similar or related experience in member services.
• Education – a two-year degree/post high school education or training preferred but not required.

Interpersonal Skills:
Confident and articulate communication is an essential element of this job. Work involves considerable personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining confidential information, and building relationships. Strong attention to detail and problem resolution are required.
